Yuniesky Gonzalez, 11 (7) -0-0 has his fight against Rowland Bryant, 16 (11) -3 (1) -0 decided with a spectacular knockout in round 8 for itself. The light heavyweight from Cuba celebrated thanks to his right hand, a candidate for the "KO of the Year".

The fight was balanced by this time and run highly entertaining. Already in the early rounds, both fighters suffered heavy Cutverletzungen, were on hand but not to deliver a thrilling duel. Sometimes it was the left hook of Bryant, once the lightning fast hands of Gonzalez, who had the upper hand. In round 8 Gonzalez finally managed to push his opponent to the ropes and landing a brutal right that sent Bryant heavily to the ground. The American was once the land of dreams and the referee was taken out of the fight. Then tried the ring doctor about Bryant to regain consciousness, and succeeded to happiness. Bryant could leave the ring on their own.

With this victory comes Yuniesky Gonzalez before joining the ranks of potential world title challenger, while Bryant, whose sensational victory over Librado Andrade now already the second Defeat followed, again has a back seat.

Back in Cuba Yuniesky was a top heavyweight losing a final by 2 points

He should beat a top 50 HW first. I saw him fight a couple of blown up cruisers, Pineda and Mendoza, and he ran out of ideas and lost all form after round 3.
