Perez vs Jennings 24 may on HBO ?

The network even knows what it wants to put on: A doubleheader involving the heavyweight elimination bout between Bryant Jennings (18-0, 10 KOs) and Mike Perez (20-0-1, 12 KOs), both of whom have already had good performances on HBO, and a junior middleweight bout between slugger James Kirkland (32-1, 28 KOs) and Willie Nelson (21-1-1, 12 KOs)

Still not convinced Ortiz is the real deal... Yeah he's got a good amateur background, and solid skills but the fact that a shot to hell Barrett is considered a step up 20 fights in doesn't bode well with me... If he beats a guy like Jennings or Povetkin i'll take him seriously, but if he goes back to fighting more bums and hasbeens then he's pretty much a joke. In any case I think he's a lot more legitimate than Wilder, but despite all the flack I give Deontay for bum crushing his resume looks solid when compared to that of Ortiz. At 35 he really shouldn't be wasting time..... He claims that he wants to be world champ, but he isn't going to do that be beating bums...... Maybe he wants to play it safe until he gets a big mandatory payday? who knows.
