Yunier “The Knockout Artist” Dorticos (17-0, 17 KOs) lived up to his nickname by destroying former world challenger, Eric “Danger” Fields (24-3, 16 KOs) by way of a crushing knockout at 2:58 of the fourth round. Both fighters were down in the first round, Dorticos from a looping right hand and Fields from a straight right cross. Dorticos then went into stalking mode for the remainder of the bout and had Fields on the run until finally catching him with a perfect 1-2 combo, with the right hand dropping Fields for the count. With the victory, Dorticos retains the interim WBA Fedelatin cruiserweight title and wins the vacant USBA cruiserweight title.

To anyone who ever thought Solis was better than a guy who lucked into an unwarranted top 10 ranking largely based on amateur success and would never have any success at the top level of pro HW boxing; the guys I've been debating with for years about the lazy slob... Guess what? You were wrong.

    Rags (NYC)

Has ESPN said how many fights it will show of the Arreola-Stiverne II bout, or is it strictly televising the main event?
Dan Rafael, King Fight Freak (12:08 PM)

It will be a 2-hour show, which means an 8-round opener (Amir Imam vs. Yordenis Ugas, very solid 140 fight) and the main event. If something goes really short I would imagine they'd use a swing fight like on a typical FNF.

No. He is just a terrible pro above tomato can level.

There is no tweaking he can do and no blaming it on taking Salka lightly.

Based on last night he just isn't cut out for this and is a KO waiting to happen. (nearly happened last night but for Salka packing featherdusters.)

Local lightweight favorite “Lightning” Rod Salka (19-3, 3 KOs) won a stunning ten round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten KO artist Alexei “The Hurricane” Collado (18-1, 16 KOs) on Friday night at the Monroeville Convention Center in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, located outside of Pittsburgh. Salka, coming off a very controversial majority decision loss to Canelo’s brother Ricardo Alvarez, hurt Collado to the body in round three, then staggered and dropped him. Collado was also cut over the left eye adding to his problems. Salka continued to outwork Collado as the bout progressed and his size advantage was noticeable. Scores were 96-94, 96-93, 96-93. Collado entered the bout rated WBA #13 at featherweight.

2004 Cuban Olympic silver medalist Yudel Jhonson (15-1, 9 KOs) dropped Lenwood Dozier once in the first and then pounded his way to a one sided eight round unanimous decision victory over game but outgunned Lenwood Dozier (9-6-1, 4 KOs). All three judges saw every round in favor of the talented former Olympian by scores of 80-71 x 3

    Those scores were really bad.

What Collado did after the 1st can't even really be called boxing.

Tired, sloppy, amateurish, slow arm punching with no technique...and his defense was off & on.

Sometimes he would just sit there and get hit almost like he was hoping to be put out of his misery. He would start turning his head but then freeze, and Salka would snap it back with a hard jab which he could've avoided if he had just kept swiveling.

Deer in headlights, and about as much killer instinct as one.

I don't think a size advantage had much to do with anything, there didn't even look to be one.
