Luiz Ortiz 8 month ban runs out this month. He mentioned last year he wanted a quick come back.

Will we see it? Is he focused, training?

Any chance he regains that interim WBA belt and fights for the regular version later this year?

Heavyweight Luis Ortiz (21-0, 18 KOs), a Cuban defector living in Miami, will return from suspension to fight an opponent to be determined on the David Lemieux-Hassan N’Dam undercard on June 20 at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Ortiz, 36, impressively knocked out Lateef Kayode in the first round on Sept. 11 in Las Vegas to win a vacant interim title but the result was changed to a no decision and the 6-foot-4, 234-pound big-hitting southpaw was suspended for eight months and fined $8,000 (10 percent of his $80,000 purse) after he tested positive for the anabolic steroid Nandrolone.
