    apparently they were blanking him.

Might have to get him on the show this thursday to clarify the whole thing.

I agree its a terrible shame the way things are going but I can see things from Garys point of view.

    Please keep us updated, Paddy!

I just hope Rigondeaux can start his pro career and fight anywhere he wants. I mean that's why he left Cuba in the first place. Politics f*cked with him in the amateur days and now he gets the same treatment as a pro? :-( Let the managers/promoters sort it out.

This is from Erislandy Lara's profile about before they got caught the 1st time. "Lara left the team with Guillermo Rigondeaux Ortiz, and initially was reported to be turning professional with ARENA Box-Promotion and Ahmet Oner" from Boxrec. If this is right then Rigondeaux signed with Oner not Hyde but I don't know all the detals yet...

If this shiet is real I just lost all my respect for Hyde... I mean, if there's really a contract I understand him defending his rights. But who the FUK is he to say where Rigo should fight. The MAIN character here is Rigondeaux, who gives a shiet about Hyde and his opinion... If Rigo wants to fight in USA, then Mr. Hyde, just go promote your boxer in USA. Stop convincing yourselves Ireland is a good place for them. I have no problem with Garcia, Acosta and Perez because they still young and they can get some experience there... Rigondeaux has no time to lose, he should be fighting and TRAINING in USA grounds, near ESPN and HBO. If Hyde can't provide that exposure, than let your boxer go, you'll ruin his career and your company by the same occasion. No fan wants shiet like this.

This being said, remember I started my post with "if this is real".

Also, Irish people are hyping way too much the Cubans (really way too much) and it will only be bad for their career. They say it's good for them to be there, having nice training and good competition and blah blah blah.. when in reality I see nothing special happening over there. Lots of people saying Garcia is just unbelievable like he could KO a champ tomorrow. I'm sorry but I recently watched a long footage of Garcia and what the heck is sooooo impressive about him? Sure he has huuuuuge potential, but he isn't all that yet. I'd bet some money he could be a champ some day, but let's calm down. They been fighting bums til now (the biggest bums beeing their last fight) and they are just dominating them as they should. I have nothing against them doing their thing there for now, as I said, it just kinda deceiving to hear things and then realise it's not true. I don't want promoters to do with them what canadian promoters are doing with Bute: Making him a champ, claiming him as a Canadian (which he is not) and giving him shitty opposition to make him look good, instead of looking ahead for bigger things.

i dont think anyone is saying garcia could KO a champ tomorrow but how many fighters spar a world champ at their weight after their first pro fight..... infact he did so well that he was the only sparring partner.
all ive heard is people saying what a special talent he is. so if you can please show where people are saying he can KO a champ tomorrow.

dont worry the Cubans wont be claimed as Irish cause well they are cuban........ were not fooling ourselves these lads wont be here forever so were just seeing them while we get the chance theres nothing wrong with that.

This point is just silly, especially when you consider that alot of these fighters have a ton of amateur fights, so if it's true that you see holes in his game it's probably not going to be fixed.

Nope, these young boys are not Gamboa or Solis, they are not that experienced in the amateurs. They have more than enough time to adapt to the pro ranks, which they seem to have been doing well lately.

Btw Paddy, there was nothing personal in my two previous posts. Just the way I feel when I read all this bs about Rigondeaux.

I never take anything personal here!

the way i see it the young cubans are better off away from the spot light until they've learned theyre trade.

I have no doubt these lads will be unleashed on america in a couple of years!
