Casey is Irish. You might be thinking of Renal Munroe or Jason Booth who are English.

With Gamboa fighting Solis, Solis challenging Vitali, Despaigne taking on Sillakh, Rigo travelling to Ireland and the Irish Cubans look for something challanging, Golden Boy Promotions SHOULD DO IT'S ****ING JOB and get an eliminator if not a world title fight for Erislandy Lara!

We have K9 sitting on the IBF belt.
    WBC title is vacant
WBO is about to be strip Dzinziruk, Angulo is in deep legal trouble

Just put Lara in for one of these titles already. Man's vasting his prime.

Could not agree more, in my opinion Lara is the best in 154 pound already.

Is it set or something? Would be very nice, tough I heard Canelo Alvarez, another Golden Boy fighter is eyeing Trout too as he beat Saul's big brother. Best scenario world be Alvarez going for a WW belt or the WBC LMW title whereas Lara fights Trout, but Canelo is first priority so we might have to wait for his upcoming fight. Too bad, because Alvarez getting maybe the WBC belt and Lara getting the WBA/WBO/IBF would be a nice first step for building a LMW rivalry pretty much like Lopez vs. Gamboa.

No , only if he belonged to Cuba's youth team , they start recording your fights only when you enter the E.S.P.A after that comes the E.I.D.E, in his case Im sure he did because he's very talented but 100 fights is a bit too much, Peace.

If Alvarez and Cotto are not possibilities for 2011, Trout would like to offer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. a shot at a title.

Other names Trout is willing to meet include IBF champ Bundrage, James Kirkland, Alfred Angulo, Tony Mundine and Erislandy Lara.

“If I have to go through any of them to get to Alvarez or Cotto, I’ll do it,” says Trout.

( this is two weeks ago.)

Co-promoters Warriors boxing and Bad Dog Productions wish to congratulate their fast-rising super featherweight contender Rances Barthelemy (9-0, 7 KOs) for keeping his undefeated record intact via an impressive third-round stoppage of Anthony "Psycho" Woods at the Magic City Casino in Miami, Florida on Friday night.

Cuban-born Barthelemy continued his march up the super featherweight ranks by dominating Woods with his deadly accurate combinations for two brutal rounds.
Woods failed to come out for the third.

"Rances is future champion. There's no doubt about it," said an impressed Leon Margules, President of Warriors Boxing. "There aren't many fighters in the world who can handle his speed and power. So you get what you had here today, which was basically a fighter who had gone the distance with some quality fighters running for his life against Rances. The fact Woods could only last two rounds shows you what it's like to fight Rances. You can run but you can't hide."

By all indications, Barthelemy, the younger brother of 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist Yan Barthelemy, is ready to begin an assault on the top of boxing's 130-lb mountain.

He's so tall and strong for this weight class. We'll be looking to start moving him up in quality of opposition now. This will be a very big year for Rances Barthelemy."

    What does E.S.P.A. stand for?

Even if he boxed in his local club since age 10, for 10 years long, he'd have about 5 to 10 bouts a year which is about a 100. 10 bouts per year is not much. I'm sure if he boxed for his Province Team he'd have had even more bouts, don't you think?

if you start boxing at 8 or 9 is ok to have close to 100 amateur fights but more than that is too much. Especially if you plan to make it as a professional. Amateur and pro boxing are a lot different and having 200 or 300 amateur fights might make you learn too many bad habits that will be hard to brake once you turn pro.

If you learn the right way, is no such a thing as a bad habit.
