Last night’s session of the Badia Spices Friday Night Fight series at the Magic City Casino exhibited some more adaptability from Pugilistic Promotions; the promotional company headed by Florida Boxing Hall of Fame inductee Ramiro Ortiz. When headliner Glendy Hernandez fell ill yet bravely committed to fight on, Ortiz made some moves.

Indeed, the quick-thinking promoter has overcome every challenge since the inaugural event last November that began without a constructed ring.

The six-round main event featuring Glendy Hernandez (6-0, 3 KOs) was swapped with a four-round undercard bout; moving crushing Cuban cruiserweight Yunieski Gonzalez up to the final bout of the evening.
Gonzalez (4-0, 3 KOs) notched his first non-knockout victory with a unanimous decision against rugged Mexican Reggie Pena (6-6, 1 KO). Gonzalez attacked with his customary aggression and big punches, but appeared to have suffered a right hand injury early in the fight which hampered his closing ability. Pena eluded the stoppage but couldn’t evade the superior skills of the Cuban destroyer as judges awarded him just one of the six rounds

There been some speculations about Lars to fight Bundrage on HBO in June/July in a double-header with Alexander-Mathysse.
But Bundrage seems to try to avoid that and seek fights with Alvarez ,Cotto and Margarito. At the same time Bundrage say "I got no problem to fight Lara, but prefer a fight versus one of the current champions" ( B-o-x-i-n-g-s-c-e-n-e-)

Now Cotto-Margarito 2 is in work so maybe Bundrage have to ?

WBC president Jose Sulaiman ruled out the possibility of an eliminator to find a mandatory challenger for Alvarez, saying he would fight the top available contender which appears to be England’s Ryan Rhodes (F-i-g-h-t-n-e-w-s)

If Cotto fight Margarito and Alvarez fight Rhodes that would make better chances for Lara to get Bundrage ?
