I love it when people on this site talk about the success of certain fighters being crucial for the future of the heavyweight division. I'm not even gonna get into details cuz u know who u are. The truth is that you are, through the use of blanket statements, saying that it is important for you to have certain fighters (probably cuz u are fans of them) win. The heavyweight division is not a tangible thing. It is a weight class and it will always survive no matter who's champion. You just want to see the fighters u like do well. How can the "health" of the heavyweight division be important to u? Are u an ambassador for it? Stop feeding us bull**** about what's important for the heavyweight division and who needs to be champion or whatnot cuz at the end of the day it's your opinion and pure subjectivity. Somebody's gonna tell me that "we need Povetkin to win cuz it's best for the division." Why? What if I want Samuel Peter or Wladimir Klitschko to be the face of the division?
i hope they all become extinct and a new breed of boxer takes over. there's no one exciting in the division. One thing i can't understands is why cruiserweights don't step up as bell, haye, enzo and mormeck could all beat sultan, maskaev, changaev and maybe even wladimir.
I understand what your saying, but some people remember the glory days of heavywieght boxing when guys like Tyson, Holyfield, and Lewis ruled the division. I guy like Mercer or Bowe would easily be champ now adays, and people wonder why the ufc is doing so well.
yeah right! thing is they know they would be destroyed! Ok maybe they would have punchers chance aginst Maskaev!
