Being British, getting beaten by the World MW champion who was riding a tidal wave of momentum at the time, leads people to consider him a protected Euro-bum.

Lockett was not a bad fighter, not world class, nor blessed with a defining attribute (I'd argue that Pavlik was never world class, he simply possesed one of the best 1-2's I ever saw) but good enough to justifiy working his way into a contenders spot.

Euro level nothing more. If he was anything special he would of hung around longer in that fight and maybe put more effort into fighting instead of wasting all his power in that stare down hahahhha. Atg stare down tho. He won the event cause of it

The win is nothing special, Pavlik eats guys like that for breakfast. Any boxer that gets hit clean is going to get ktfo against Pavlik. He has some of the heavyiest hands I have ever seen.

Lockett is a c level fighter by the way. So stop trying to make pavliks win look good cause it meant nothing at all.

Lockett won event via staredown from hell :p

Lockett never belonged in a ring with a real prize fighter.

No, but Pavlik's KO wins over Rubio and Brewer are really underrated

More powerful, Lockett's staredown, or his vicious right hand? Powerful forces
