Why is there never an interviewer who asks who Sturm would like to fight next!!?? Huh, you tell me. For one time, ONE TIME, I want to see Sturm answer questions like, ''Would you like to face JT?'', ''How you think you would do against Pavlik?'' etc etc etc Bet those f**ing corrupt promoters ordered them not to ask such questions. Jee I think the mainstream boxing fan in Germany barely knows who pavlik or taylor etc etc is!!atsch
The casual German boxing fans should know who Pavlik and Taylor are by now because ZDF (the German channel which broadcast the fight) showed video clips of their fight prior to Sturm's title defense. What annoyed me the most was that they did not even mention Arthur Abraham as far as credible opponents for Sturm go...
I don't think they are not allowed to ask such questions. In Germany EVERY sports reporter is primarily specialising in football (soccer) and knows **** about many other sports - like boxing. I guess, at least 80 % of the boxing viewers have never heard of Pavlik or Taylor before, but the real problem is that many sports reporters don't know them either. The ZDF interviewer is one of the most ignorant journalist I've ever seen. After Erdei-Santiago (or Erdei-Blades ?) he said to Santiago that he was much better than his ranking would indicate.
Agreed! And don't forget "Pull the Ploog's" infamous commentary during one of those two Erdei fights where he said he couldn't understand why Erdei's promoter did not give him an EASIER opponent for a change!!! :-( Ploog sucks ass.
What's the fuss about? The question who he wants to fight next was answered right after the fight. He wants a rematch with Griffin.

The reporters ZDF and ARD are pure ****, the commentator also. Sturm was asked about possible fights against Taylor,Pavlik and Abraham by other people. It's not clear what he said himself, his people and what part was invented by the press, because the answers are different. There has been talk like "Taylor didn't got better since the olympics, I did and want fight him" "My management makes my fight, I don't decide anything" "Abraham is ducking me" "Sturm is ducking Abraham" Lately he always pretends that 80% of talk is **** and he didn't said this and that.
german boxing press is sooooo funny. when an american fighter takes on a german one, they always big them up like the're as good as the likes of mayweather. when ray mercer found wlad, they made out like he beat tyson and shocked the world lol!!!!
Eurosport's German tv commentator Castor did a great job! He knew what he was talking about unlike so many other reporters on either German,Polish,Czech,English,American,or Russian tv! I also like the German channel FAB which used to show SES's fights with Stieglitz,,Konecny,Malik Dziarra,and so on. FAB had very competent and knowledgeable tv commentators. German heavy weight Rene Monse used to be one of the co-commentators.
