Yeah cause Tyson destroyed every **** he fought........wrong.

Im not putting Klitschko in the same bracket as all time greats but am saying he wouldnt have been walked over. My point is the more likely as every all time great DID NOT walk over every single opponent of theirs

I'm glad the debate is even happening after the Heavyweight low water mark of W. Klitschko and Tony Thompson. Vitali looked looser than he has ever been, his handspeed was magnificent by todays heavy standards and he made Sam Peter quit on his stool with his awkward and battering style.

The fact we aren't embarassed by a heavyweight fight is a giant leap forward at this low point.

Spot on Da Sweet , It only takes a decent fight for interest to be rekindled in the division , Haye is a mouthy guy but with potential , Johnson could be the dark horse though he's just quiet and going about his buisness correctly , all it takes is three or four decent heavies all fighting each other and it soon will become the greatest show on earth again .

Marciano would of been brutally beaten by Klit..Klit would be servinbg life for fist****ing Rocky's mug without concent.

All the others would own Klit..My man Tyson would of had Klit scared before the bell had sounded so the rest wouldnt of mattered.

I was waiting for someone to mentin wee little 180 pound Marciano.

Without taking away from what he achieved he would have been waaaay too small to beat Klit.

Klit is just so big and strong. When he fights it looks like he does so with ease.Thats why i feel a pressure fighter who can band would rip him apart. He is way too laxy dazy.

But luckily for him Heavyweights these days are overweight and have next to know work rate.He will stop a few more duds then retire again.

Size difference would've been too much most likely. Rocky fought someone 254lbs and Joe Louis who was 210-215lbs. Dempsey much the same. That being said, Klitschko lost to Chris Byrd who certainly wasn't the biggest Heavy. If it were a pound-for-pound match up, Dempsey and the Brockton Blockbuster walk all over Frankenstein. Otherwise the size disparity would be too great.

    Agree.

Yeah Ozzie, with the 4 year layoff and state of the heavyweight division V Klit can def win a few more.

War Haye!! I'd take him over Vitali for sure. Too much lateral movement and enough crack to have his respect. Haye on points. Would be the kind of fight the division needs.

Same, although I think Haye does just about anyone else in the division. Wlad/Haye would be tighter.

    1. Despite having 2 losses on his record - has Vitali ever looked like losing? I mean both losses were essentially stoppages due to injury.

    2. Secondly, he generates incredible power for such economy of movement. I think the reason that he is labeled 'robotic' is that he doesn't need to wind up on his punches, so he looks 'boring' to some. However, his opponents usually crumble under the accumulated weight of these very accurate, very hard punches.

Throw in a decent chin and good reflexes for such a big un and you have a guy that deserves more respect than he gets.

Who has he really fought that any decent Heavyweight champion from the past wouldn't beat, apart from Lewis? It'll take a lot more than Kirk Johnson, Larry Donald and Corrie Sanders to boost his historical standing. Hell I'd back Donovan Ruddock against every one of the fighters he's beat.
