I don't know if the heavyweight holograms have made me a bit loose but I would say that Klitschko's win on the weekend was the best performance I have seen from a heavyweight in the past 5 years.

It's impossible to argue with you with regards to record. However, and not being completely familiar with his whole career, outside of Lewis has he not just beaten, but dominated close to everyone he has fought?

Until he does face worthy foes (if ever), who knows where he deserves to stand?

Why would Marciano have been brutaly beaten ? size ? if that was the case Tyson would have never had a career , Marciano always found a way to win , his adaptability was outstanding if we based the result of our mythical fights on size only then the ambling alp would have ruled the world , VK is a latter day Pino Carrera imo his skill level is way below that of a Marciano , same as Nic "old cabbage head " Valuve the guy is 7 foot tall but a heap of shite , VK is a better fighter than NV but no ATG

He has much more than Carnera. That is a brutal and unrealistic comparison.

lol Why ? Vitaly has been made to look as clumsy as the Alp in the past , VK by sheer advancments in the sport in general is above the Italian but if he were fighting back in the day he would imo be looked upon as Carnera was ie a freak , i would like to see a time machine fight between VK & Louis , would VK last longer than the Alp ? Who knows ? . Bear V VK would be a war whilst it lasted . how would Vitaly have coped if faced with a Marciano who was split to the bone of his nose still coming forward at him , would he have dug in like a warrior or fled like a lamb , who knows its all pie in the sky , but good .

Even Tyson was a fair bit bigger than Marciano.

Marciano def did find a way to win each time but you must realise he consistently fought fighters in the 175-210 pound (say 75% of his fights) weight group with a few above that.

Vitali is alot better skilled than Carrera

Still good to talk about but this matchup is boy v man.

Hell if there's a time machine to the 90s let alone the golden eras I'm not sure he gets through.

    Holyfield
    Tyson
    Ruddock
    Mercer
    Morrison
    Bowe
    Lewis
    Moorer

what i laugh at is this VK comes out of a 3 year 8 month rest and beats a plodding unskilled fighter with no plan A let alone plans B,C or D and the world raves about him , it tells us a great deal about the current "Champs" doesn't it . seeing these Brothers try and be amusing was as funny as death itself , VK , I like your belt , WK No its mine :patsch

Vitali's resume isn't good, though he is better than his resume suggests. He's never really been dominated, and while I don't think he's a legend or anything, he doesn't deserve to be held in the same regard as the other heavies in todays game.

I'll gladly take Vitali over Moorer, Morrison and possibly Rodduck.

Bowe drifted in and out of comas in his career, the Riddick that fought Golota would be in trouble aswell.

Id actually picture a good fight between Golota and Vitali, two big men with good boxing skills.

Ruddock pushed Tyson and got prematurley stopped and Golota quit on his stool after a round but you would pick Golota to have a better chance v Klitchko ?
