    I did not say that.

I said "possibly Rudduck aswell" and "Golota that fought Riddick" which was years before Tyson had a crack at him.

Boy v Man comment i certainly hope you don't see Marciano as the boy and Klitchko as the man  .Ps yea i may be 45 but what with my daughter about to drop Grandson #1 i am feeling a tad sensitive re the o'l man comment :-(

I was referring to the size difference really.

I saw pics of Tyson and Vitali together when Klit took him around a city in Russia. Tyson looked like a tiny boy standing next to him.

It was only guess you were older than I by a bit and i was correct :D

Still Id rather talk to you than listen to Pecks urging me on to visit beasttube :lol:

Yeah i know, i dont think there was one person that was not shocked. He was beating him up bigtime.

Was never really a big Golota fan but his last fight against Molo he earnt my respect. If he had that attitude his whole career things could have gone alot differently

That Golota is a total head job mate throughout his career he lacked confidence when things went pair shaped for him in the ring i don't think it was a matter of bottle as cowards don't step through the ropes at any level never mind mixing it up with the blokes he was in with , that mollo fight was an unexpected treat mate i agree , but then again he knew he was in the last chance saloon , Fear of not having any more paydays far out strips fear of having a beating any day of the week .

Yes size was a factor for me.Among with Vitali's strength and accuracy with his shots..Marciano would take his fair share of shots to get a few off himself..Couldnt see him getting inside of V.K. who would more then likely keep him at bay with his huge reach..

Marciano always found a way to win but one can only take punishment from a devastating(very accurate) puncher such as V.K for so long..

V.K has alot more skills then you give him credit for.The bloke rarely has had to use them as his superior size and placement of pretty damn strong punches have usually kept his opponents at bay.

Comparing V.K to Carrera and Valuev is just showing your hate for the bloke.Any serious boxing fan with any amount of knowledge of the fightgame would know better then making stupid comparisons like that.

(Didnt expect this from you:nono ).

You named 2 sideshow attractions to a Olympic gold medallist/multiple times champion of the world and future HOF.I feel V.K.'s legacy has suffered due to the dire state of the Heavyweight scene throughout most of his career.Other then when he fought Lewis(and got robbed) there really hasnt been too many name fighters in his prime to step up against.

Its hard when throughout your career the only real big scalp you can shoot for is your brother.

    Robbed against Lewis? Please.

He was lucky to be allowed to fight on as long as he did, the cut over his eye was one of the worst I've seen.

Quit on his stool against Chris Byrd. Hardly a recognisable name on his resume. Maybe this time round will achieve something but the opposition for him is even weaker now.

Maybe i used the wrong word..

I mean if he werent to suffer such a nasty cut i believe he had Lewis.

Man i cant believe there wasnt a re match.

Hardly a name on his resume??

Yeah no legends but he has beaten most of todays decent pros.

Quite simply, his title reign is abysmal. He won the WBO title (never a stronghold for Heavyweights) against blown up Cruiser Herbie Hide. Admittedly, he blew him out, just as he should. Successful defences against Ed Mahone and Obed Sullivan followed before quitting on his stool against Chris Byrd.

Wins the WBC title against Corrie Sanders, defends against Danny Williams and retires. Beats Sam Peter. Hardly the stuff of legends. I understand there's not much competition in the Heavyweight ranks, but do you know what, there was a drought in the 80s too. Holmes cleaned up the entire division. That's how he cemented his legacy.

If the pair of them cleaned up Chagaev, Valuev, Povetkin, Dimitrenko, Juan Carlos Gomez, Chris Arreola, Golota (for what it's worth), David Haye it'd certainly improve their standing historically.

    Agree,

Im not too fussed about his resume at this point, i just like watching the big fella fight cause he's a good fighter, a fighter that seems very hard to beat

I don't disagree with that, but it just takes a lot more than looking good against Danny Williams or Sam Peter before I call him a tough fight for the greats of the Heavyweight division. :yep

Ah well i may not have expert knowledge Ozzie mate but i at least know its not insulting to anyone to compare them with a guy that went something like 90-15 especially given the era which the guy was fighting in and the similar size between then .

Anyway where did i say i hate the fella i was one of the first on the main board to give him his props and saying i compared VK to Cabbage head is a bit of a Porky ( Go back and read where i said VK is a more skilled fighter than Nic Valuve ) ,

As for Marciano well its widley excepted that Tyson would have given VK hell with his style and as you said Marciano had a way of winning , mainly due to his adaptability so why wouldn't Marciano have employed such tactics ( he did have the ability to do so ) to do a similar job ?
