K2 just needs to bite the bullet and offer Danny 33% or petition the WBA to allow Lara to take the mandate at 25%.

Mendoza said last yr that he'd allow for Lara to step in for Jacobs.

I'd actually prefer it, and Al Haymon would likely as well since he wouldnt have to fun Lara's ludicrous purses fighting nobodies.

Triple Duck wants no part of Lara. Its one of the worst duck jobs of recent years. Lara does not Exist to K2..They never mentioned him as a possible opponent , rather they have said over and over why he isn't worthy of a fight with Golovkin.
    Shameful behaviour from Team Golovkin:drooling:

Yea... we just had Kovalev-Ward and Lomachenko-Walters.
And Golovkin has no fights scheduled.

GGG was fighting 4 times a year and KO'ing everybody. This year he fought 2 times, so he's getting less press. He's still on most peoples top 5 P4P.

Of course the buzz has faded.

Not really GGG's fault though, Cotto and The Ginger Mexican did everything they could to avoid him. GGG's only other option is to move up to SMW or LHW because there is NOTHING for him at MW.

The question is how many more passes will he get for fighting weak opponents. I think he's staying at 160 in anticipation of the Canelo fight. It makes sense as it's a HUGE MONEY FIGHT the biggest to be made in boxing. The PROBLEM is that Canelo holds all the cards. Canelo fights GGG whenever he feels like it. 2018 basically. So GGG fights who? 160 sucks real bad. There's good fights to be made but they want 3 million. So 168 is the next level but the Canelo fight keeps him waiting. Kind of hard to be excited about the guy knowing he gonna smash on opponents that he's a 30-1 favorite

Daniels is a good fight, so is Billy Joe. The truth is Canelo is losing face just as fast for ducking.

They are good fights. BUT. Danny Jacobs is one punch away from getting TKOd. And Saunders has ONE good win on his resume and that is Andy Lee. He beat Eubank Jr in a close close fight. Golovkin spanks both of them in fights where he will easily be the 10-1 favorite. I wonder what the odds would be in a GGG vs Degale fight? Maybe 3-1 GGG? Or Golovkin vs Zurdo. These are closer fights.

As for Canelo, he has a RABID fan base. Most of the mexicans I know LOVE canelo and are making every excuse in the book for Canelo not to fight GGG. They say "GGG aint fight nobody" or "GGG needs to move up"

The truth is that most Canelo fans are Canelo fans FIRST before they are boxing fans. They rather Canelo not get KOd by GGG.
