SOOOO close to going live but i just couldn't get the time off work. i've no doubt how this is going. i like paulie but khan at 140 is a machine and honestly, like cotto when he moved up, looks much sturdier. i just hope the rumoured morales fight is nothing...that'll do him no good
Depends. Some fighters do have "glass chins". The term does get overused by some people, though. Same as anything. Some people overuse it, some don't.

Nahh Morales is not in the frame, he has to keep fighting top 5 140 fighters, he is a title holder. Yeah Khan looks much better at 140, power is coming on.
age does not come alone . i guess that jaw has always been sensitive but still one of the greats not a fraud . for me it has been once when my knees buckled after punch with open fist that i didnt saw coming. but there's been several times when i see blue dots after getting punched real hard
Only very special fighters will not get stopped by a punch from a big hitter, that they dont see and are able to "travel" with and lessen/brace themselves for. This small band is even more reduced when you consider those fighters that not only don't get KO but don't even go down, albeit balance is an important factor (see Abraham's knockdown vs. Dirrel). I think that most of the G-Jaw brigade are wind-up's, otherwise they are only fan's of 1 or 2 boxers per decade, boxers that also tend to be limited in their skills and rely heavily on chin/stamina to outlast their opponents to get the win. Even the best chin will be dented with time/wear. The conditioning, will/heart and especially mental condition are the key factors later in a fighters career. It is true to say that most fighters cannot take a big well placed and well-timed punch, and that is the attraction of watching a fight. Even a "light" puncher will have his special moment where it all comes together and he can take out a previously durable opponent. As the informed/practicioners know too well many factors come in to it. In my opinion calling a boxer glass jawed (unless they are shot or Charlie Zelenoff) is as warranted as calling a boxer a bum. But let's not shoot the Rico's (who seems to have repented in recent posts) or Zakman's, every sport has it's outspoken/fringe pundits. With time you will grow to love the "jokers" in our midst. After all their keeping it real... This noob will now stfu. Cheers. Duncanne.
Funny what passes for a fraud nowadays. the man's a legend and was so above everyone in his prime that it didn't matter if his chin was the best. He made everyone else look glass jawed(or in Virgil Hill's case glass ribbed lol) The way Glass jaw is used around here is childish. You don't need to have a glass jaw to get KOed. The dynamics of a KO has mindboggling factors involved that are both psychological, physiological, and just regular ass physics. KOs happen to even the best of chins. But since many of the people throwing that term around like a hooker throws around the poontang have never really fought or absorbed a skillfully delivered punch, then that's what you get in the end. I bet some of these bafoons would find footage of Gene Fulmer, Dick Tiger, and Roberto Duran getting iced cold in the only true KOs of their careers and then have the nerve of calling those men glass jaw frauds :-(
No the guy has no chin at all, he can't take a punch from an actual puncher hence why he has been so carefully matched since he got iced by Prescott.
rico needs to read this, as his logic of a fighter with a weak chin is comparable to that of a pre-schoolers.
