Im telling you now people remember this decade. It will be rememberd as the Goldern Glory era of MMA. Never in the history of this sport has there ever been a man so dominant as Fedor. He is literally a god amongst men. He is essentially unbeaten with a run of victorys that is unparalleled in ANY combat sport. Couple this with his incredibly calm persona and stunning humility and it makes him even more wondersome to behold! People i give you Fedor Emelianenko.

Another thing, everyone from Roach etc said he had the better standup........yet he got knocked out standing....i think Fedor was making a point.

Sure AA was landing more shots up untill that point.........but lets not forget Fedor beat him standing......impressive for a guy who apparently isnt a good boxer.

Well, it's only what...the 2nd era of MMA? So lets not get crazy now.
This 'era' could be viewed as talent starved with the ranks full up of anathletic semi-trained fighters.

Imagine in 30 years time when we'll have people who have trained for MMA since the age of 3 or 4 instead of coming into the game from another sport or starting entirely new in their 20s.

In terms of talent and athletes the new generations will completley blow away what we have now. Thing of entire divisions full of GSPs, BJ's and Anderson Silva's except better! It'll be like comparing Usain Bolt to some of the tracjk and field stars of the 1920s and 30s, just won't be comparable.

I was just thinking about this, and I told my friend. I was like, you know when you see those pictures of Marciano, Ali, Frazier and all of them? Like the 50's-80's was like the boxing years, now we'll look back at pictures of Fedor, Penn, Chuck and Rampage when we're older and just be like "wow, remember those days?" its gonna be sick, and I really feel lucky to be living during this time period when It comes to MMA...

I don't see anyone in MMA that can beat fedor. He is done! He should just call it quits and retire. I can't name a single person in the mma world that has a chance to beat him right now. We thought crocop could. NOPE..... syliva. oh please, that fight was won before it even got started. I would love to see fedor beat that crap out of lesnar but we know its not happening.

Chill. He's still got Barnett, Overeem, Lesnar, Mir, Gonzaga and possibly Couture to beat.

I guess, Barnett and Overeem are the only realistic fights on the list, he could easily get those two fights in this year and then retire. I expect nothing less than a Fedor-Barnett fight for the summer. :nod

Fedor is the man. At this moment - possibly the GOAT of MMA.
