No words can do the man justice. Just watching footage of him brings emotion no words can explain. His aura was incredible. I'm not really a religious man but I do belive and hope we go to a better place after death. How can a man with so much fire and charisma just disappear for eternity? His soul is too strong to vanish.

I've been reading some of Ali's famous quotes and one liners, it makes me wonder if 50 years from now people will look back and remember Tony 'Bomber' Bellew's sayings 'I carry power' 'I am Everton' etc

The right man at the right place and the right time. Transcendent. Even though we all knew it was coming, it's still a rough day. RIP, Champ.

The heavyweight champion with the most impressive overall record.

One of the three or four most important American sporting figures of the 20th century

A man who stood up courageously and at personal cost for his beliefs,

and a man who used his fame to help his people.

He made a mark not only on boxing history but on American history.

    RIP

you folks do realize that ali was called the greatest not just because of his in-ring exploits.

what's this "he was the greatest.. at heavyweight" stuff? was robinson or duran a greater boxing figure to the world? getting out and about? meeting world leaders on a daily basis?
