Seems like Charles floats an awkward spot since a ton of his top wins were above the LHW limit. Thus, HW. I agree with you but if the devil were in the details and that was their argument, I could see it.
Meh, Charles beat Moore within the limit 3 times. Along with Bivins, Maxim, Smith and Marshall twice, I'd say that's good enough to throw him to the top alone. It's Moore's title run which gives Archie an argument.
MW would probably be the hardest with the most guys who can legitimately be considered the GOAT at that weight. Every other division pretty much have a clear cut top 2
True. But overall, Archie Moore had a somewhat better career, accomplishing more at 175. Both were great fighters though.
