'GOAT' records before the global/post Soviet era are meaningless, it's just a Murican protected bubble in the pros more or less. Nobody who loses to Joe Frazier can be the GOAT HW, it's laughable. Frazier was already too small/limited and a basic Foreman destroyed him the way most proper HW's would. Imagine having the size advantages Ali had over Frazier and losing, then pretending you're the greatest. Good big guy beats good small guy, remember? If small guy beats big guy, big guy ain't so great and definitely ain't the greatest. And we know Frazier couldn't have really been so special at HW because Foreman destroyed him like he was nothing. Ali is a cult.
Historically, few bantamweights have distinguished themselves as top-level fighters. Part of that is because so few promotions in the United States have had a bantamweight division over the years. It is hard to determine the best fighter from a historical perspective. Ultimately, though, none of these fighters has been as dominant for as long as Dominick Cruz is right now. He has an impressive winning streak and has faced substantially stiffer competition over the years than any of these other bantamweights. Top Five: 1- Dominick Cruz 2- Mamoru Yamaguchi 3- Miguel Torres 4- Masakatsu Ueda 5- Bibiano Fernandes http://bit.do/Bibiano-Fernandes
