    foley beat ross fairly quick in the mid 1870's, not the marathon bout so they fought several times.

    they had the epic hours long fight, but rematched in the mid 1870's and the reports are foley won easily.

    coincidently sandy ross was a lot smaller than foley, both shorter and something like 20-30 pounds.
