"Ricky Hatton is the real deal, the overall package with all-round skills. He's aggressive, he's strong and he's fast. I think he can not shock the world, but win. It's not a shock, it will be a win" said De La Hoya

He says Hatton must take the initiative early to make sure Pacquaio isn't able to establish any superiority.

"I think the idea will be to pressure Manny Pacquiao, because he doesn't like to be pressured if you study his fights," he explained.

"If you take a look at when he fought Morales, he pressured Manny Pacquiao and he didn't like it.He needs to control him with his jab and I'm sure Floyd Mayweather Sr will have him using it 30 or 40 times a round."

Meanwhile former undisputed middleweight king Bernard Hopkins says Hatton must use the new skills Floyd Mayweather Sr has brought to keep Pacquiao guessing.

He said: "Ricky Hatton is known for having fast hands and throwing a lot of punches. Pacquiao is more of a sharpshooter, pinpoint guy who sets you up with his legs. He gets in position and popshots you when you come forward."

"Ricky is a come-forward fighter - he's offence first and defence second. I think we're going to see if he lives up to what he said at the press conference".
"It's not being in a straight line. Coming in with his armour, moving his head from side to side, giving some shoulder fakes and making Pacquiao think instead of giving him the shots."

Hopkins was predicting a Pacquiao win previously, Oscar must have reminded him who he works for...

  3. I must admit that ODLH and BHOP backing their stable mate over Manny Pacquiao has come as a complete surprise to me.

I don't really see what harm it would do for Hopkins to say Pac's going to win.
Does he get a bonus for lying, maybe he does? thats why he says he won against Calzaghe *Kerching more bull****!

Morales did the opposite of pressure Pac, he picked him off and didn't engage, frustrated him

So Oscar is talking bollocks right there IMO
