Holmes, Wlad can go either way, both from behind their amazing jabs, but I think Wlad's power and height seals it for him - pts 12

    1. 82 Dokes is too light and small to trouble Vitali, plus he can't hurt him... Vitali by late stoppage.
    6. Page, Arreola pick 'm... can be right or Cris KO's him when he makes an error.
    7. Cooney KO maybe, the man could punch. But I think Boystov is the real deal and stops Cooney late or outpoints him.

rest I agree with for most parts

P.S. I see tko 13, so whe're going for '82 rules also.... then Wlad pts 15.

    The championship fights go 15.

Dokes was a pretty big fella at around 225 and he could bang. He was the cream of the crop in 82.

I'll concede Cooney, he could be got at in a long fight.

I think Page is too big and quick for Arreola.

As for the great Larry.............he is my hero.........and maybe the greatest of all. Wlad has no chance over the distance.

In 82 he wasn't! I just looked it up in '82 he was 212 lbs, slightly heavier then Chambers.
I like Larry too, but with his style (jab, jab, jab...) it's very hard to beat Wladimir. Who has the same reach but towers over him, is 30 pounds heavier and has more power. But I think he would have a better chance against his brother.

    Vitali beats Dokes.

    Without any serious sweat.

Apart from that, your calls seem good.

Deadly serious. In 82 Dokes was the best there was apart from King Larry. He was very fast, skilled and could hit hard. Even an over the hill Dokes gave Holyfield a scare or too.

I think your memory is somewhat dimmed. If Vitali is as good as you think he is then the division is in serious trouble!

did you actually write that???? Holmes has possibly the greatest Jab of all time , against a slow lazy jab that lasts 6 rounds at best , no i am afraid there is no comparison , also todays heavies couldnt handle the 15 rounds.

Yes he has, and yes I did.... He always had a huge reach advantage against his ooponents with it, now it's even, he has to jab up and Wlad has a lot more power than Holmes had.
And It's noncence that the heavies from today can't handle 15 anymore... maybe the overweight ones, but there are a lot of them who look rather fresh after 12 nowadays... It's not like some imagenairy wall or something that drains all the power out of you!

And if you read my first reaction, I said it could still go either way, but slightly favour Wlad because of his power, weight and height advantage.

Vitali knocks him out, npw come on! IMO Chagaev was the best champ since Lewis other than the Klitschkos, seriously underrated. How does Snipes beats a supreme technician?

The only proven way to beat Vitali is... "stopping" him. Can Dokes do that? 50% KO ratio? No way. It would be an easy fight for Vitali, as Dokes hasn't got the power to trouble him.
82 was a much worse year for boxing than this year.

Almost as bad as the ludicrous bias given to modern fighters.

I can see Dokes beating Vitali on a UD.Page would stop Arreola late or decision him, IF he's in shape.
