Everyone on here seems to be obsessed with power but I can tell you I would much rather be me than Josh Wale in the morning, the lad is going to seriously hurt.

As far as Kid Galahad is concerned, he's an accurate and stinging puncher. Most opponents at any level will at the very least respect his power enough not to rush him. And that's really all you need if you've got everything else in the locker. I do, however, believe he may run into a fighter someday who can walk through his shots.

A guy with good fundamentals like Barry, a young, pure boxer who hasnt realised his full power has a lot more potential & a longer shelf life than some of the face-first fighters with a bit of dig in his division.

This whole thread is full of boxing fans saying the Kid has feather fists. If they cant appreciate what he does then they should be watching UFC

Paulie M is not known as a puncher but has won belts at 2 weights, the kid has skills (no pun intended)

What he does and what he says are completely different.....did you see a bloke who thought he was a destroyer out there tonight??

You're right, he's going to be a world beater....feel free to bump the post when it happens

Unfortunately, I think that a lot of them are already doing that....I get a bit ****ed off with the obsession with power, and "brutal knockouts"....its not for me :D

I bet every single brutal KO shot has been a punch they didnt see coming:think

If the Kid starts sitting down & timing his counters....

Every brutal KO is the result of a Frazier like blind side punch.

He impressed me tonight with the pop that he has developed, you only get the true effect from a few feet away.....Josh Wales face is obviously testament to the pitter patter nature of the kids shots. I always thought that a 42% stoppage percentage was half decent at this stage of a blokes career....I'm obviously way wrong.

Anyway, I've held back from gloating, but to all you Witter haters, and in the style of our very own Billy Nelson....Get it right up yas :happy

People are being harsh on Eubank Jr IMO, that kid he fought was the type most would fight in their 12th or 13th outing. He was a good kid, built like a tank, only had to see him at the weigh in to know he would be strong and not going to fall over easily.

    :huh

Johnny Come Lately boxing fans!? Thats a hell of an assumtion, what do u know about me? Just cos I've got a Muay Thai avy doesn't mean I'm a 16 year old UFC fan.

The Pep post was a good call :good, but as I suggested earlier you need to have great skills and speed (which Pep obviously had in spades) to be an elite fighter without any power. Let's face it it's a bit early to be suggesting that the kid's relatively untested skills are gonna take him as far British title level all things considered in the division at the mo let alone as far as Pep.

I don't think the power will suddenly 'come' if I'm honest. Sure he may get 'man strength' over the next few years, sure you can work on it a bit, but the margins for improvement will not be large at all. You just don't see people like Galahad become average punchers, let alone good.

I'm not sure he can be described as hurtful, only in the sense he busted Wale up and it probably did 'hurt' to be repeatedly punched in the face when you're busted up.

He's a genuine featherfist alright, luckily he's exceptionally skilled for domestic level so that can mitigate the featherfist factor to an extent, the problem will be when people are skilled, athletic and can bang too, i.e. at a higher level.

I agree on all counts, only time will tell if his great boxing skills can keep as you say mitigating the lack of power in each succesive level he climbs to.

Contary to what a few people think I hope he does well he's a talent with some attarctive skills, I like wathching him.
