He's working, keeping himself out of trouble and staying fit. He has a great deal to offer back to the sport but he is not quite accustomed to life outside boxing yet. Give him time to settle. He has a book and film pending completion. The book will be absolutely massive, its will include some fantastic stories and I think could turn him into a big star. The film will follow the book. It isn't completed and will likely be revised to include things from the book and also I think Gomez wasn't to happy with the portayal of some of the characters. Can't go into too much detail but the public Mike Gomez isn't quite sold out yet and once the book/ film has come and gone he will become a fantastic trainer/ manager/ pundit. The main thing is he's keeping himself out of trouble.
In all seriousness, i will be getting the book before the film, regardless. Hope its a good writer regarding "style to subject" Some books on top fighters can be pretty dull. Buchanans is a good read but its "ate slept trained fought" x10 it seemed. Not the fighters fault of course, more the writer. Who wants a signed copy ?
The writer is absolutely brilliant and some of you will be very familiar with him. I will sort out signed copies for forum regs. Not free I don't think but i'm sure if you speak to Jeff or Kev Maree they will be able to sort something. :good
