The bad is that anyone with a modicum of boxing knowledge will know in their mind who will win 99% of the time. The good is that Haymon has a stable of fighters who will make the hearts of the masses believe otherwise. The fights will always be one guy on his way up, and another on his way down, or at a weight disadvantage or both. PBC's first order of business, no more Broner v. Maidana. But when ithe nevitable upset does happen, then he'll build that guy up and feed him to a champion.

Going to hard for Big Al to sell time space for advertising if he puts another Molina / Broner sleep fight on to open the card. On paper this looked like a fire storm however Molina just did NOTHING and Sugar Ray was giving him props:roll:

I did not like the ring walks as that was dull. Seeing the boxers in a suit was different.

His promoter told him to start reading the Want Ads today. I think it's time Molina thinks about life after boxing. i.e - Time to focus on your day job, because boxing isn't it.

I thought the production was cool. They knew boxing fans would watch, this is about exposing boxing to newer or casual fans.

Positive - camera work, i thought sugar ray was good, i was glad Farhood and Smoger were involved. bj is decent

Room for improvement - ali, marv albert was off

boxing - molina - broner, huge dissapointment, molina shouldve rolled the dice and w broner that in control shouldve tried to close the show

guerrero (which im a huge fan) vs thurman delivered, seriously impressed by thurman and guerrero didnt quit, got more exciting after the knockdown

overall good job and on paper before looked like good matchups.

and the next w Garcia. Peterson, Quillan should be a decent show.

Yeah I've read this a time or two but it's not like NBC has zero invested be it money, airtime, responsibilities towards sponsors and/or their own promotions outside of promotional responsibilites that AH carries.

If the program lasts beyond the initial deal ( NBC ) only has leverage to gain because they are the platform with the potential to make fighters a household name moreso than cable television. So while they may not be paying fighters outright currently, that elephant certainly is in the room and if I'm a successful fighter showcased on NBC that is something that will be discussed when the time presents itself, and it will.

More over, NBC has an image to promote and uphold. While I believe Antonio Tarver was a good expert ****yst, he's soiled by PED's and not a fair option for NBC's image.

Also regarding the production, some of which I liked, some not so much but overall it wasn't that bad. They'll have a learning curve. Fight fans are extremely fickle. They don't like this and that about HBO, Showtime and FNF so when they see a different presentation ... of course they don't like that one either. We can't have it both ways. Why in the world would NBC copy paste those other broadcasts? They're only trying to give fans what they want by not giving them the same thing.

I think Gus Johnson would be an improvement. He's an excellent broadcaster who brings excitement and insight.
