Ideal time to be fighting Cotto, dented confidence and effects of the beating he took at the (hardened) fists of Margarito. I see Jennings taking his chance and knocking out Cotto inside 8 rounds. If he does lose i'm sure he'll go out on his sword unlike Lockett against Pavlik, who flat-out quit and ran away with a pay cheque.
I hope Jennings finds the luckiest/hardest punch of his life and KO's Cotto! Realistically though I hope Jennings does his best and makes Cotto work harder than he thought he would have to
My thoughts entirley big man - i've always loved his style - he is a proper boxer - a lovely boxer. C'mon Michael - do us proud Lurcher!:happy:happy
Don't do a Gary Lockett on us! Good luck pal, I dont think you'll win but I hope a sterling lionheart performance will open more doors for you.
On paper it looks a mis match but Mick is a talented lad and seems to have the perfect attitude going into the fight. I would very much like him to pull it off but there are a number of reasons why I feel he won't and in fact think he may get stopped. The generally held view from insiders, in the know, is that he will put in an excellent performance and take Cotto the distance. Cottos long been a fave of mine but i'lll be cheering mick on come sat.
It does seem like an impossible task. I don't think he can outbox this guy. I doubt if he can outfight him. I don't think he's got the one punch to KO him. Not many options left... But I've been thinking about him lasting the distance recently.
Maybe margaritos ruined cotto's punch resistance, if not im afraid to see jennings is gonna receive a savage beating particularly to the body.
Good luck to the guy but he only has a puncher's chance. I think Cotto will come out to make a statement and will knock him out in the middle rounds.
