This is a pretty clear statement, pointing out that pride, had just as much, and much likely MORE disrespect than the UFC, is completely valid. When you say You should be prepared to realize that it is not ****ing true, period.
No, nothing for ? I'm still the one taking things across the board? Never have respect? You think that not one time, past, present, or future, that any UFC representative in any way, shape, or form, will ever respect another?
Let him cry over Pride and re-watch old videos then come on here and says "i miss pride". life hasn't been the same for him, It's time to see Dr. Phil.
No, but when you say "the UFC will never have respect", don't call me an idiot for pointing out how stupid that statement is. Not to mention BOTH fighters mentioned in the piece either are now or have recently fought in the UFC.
Pride is dead guys..I used to love Pride..more than the UFC but lets be honest they have a share of champs that will not do well in the UFC.. Shogun is one..I was watching his fight with Overeem and Arona..his stand up is so sloppy, he is a KO waiting to happen just like his brother.. His biggest weapon is his stomps,kicks.. without that ..hes pretty much average. Fedor is great, Hendo is great..but Rampage might not be that successful in the UFC afterall...Wand is exciting but he will win one and lose one at this point. But getting back to the topic..Crocop is class
I don't know man, there are plenty of examples of fighters in the UFC that are perfect gentlemen and sportsmen. Bob Sapp was a pride fighter. Let's not over analyze this. Props to Crocop though.
I think a big part of the reason Pride was so much classier was just that it was in Japan - the social etiquette demands you have to be fairly civilized over there. The knuckle dragging troglodytes who constitute a large portion of the the UFC's viewership are a western problem, really. Most other orgs. in western countries are as if not more scummy than the UFC.
Crocop is a class act. Nogueira. Fedor. Barnett. Couture. The elite fighters of the game are fans of the sport and fans of each other.
