    Here is how it works:

. Usually a pretty good fighter with decent skill and clearly head and shoulders above the local mediocre Euro or British talent pool is carefully matched againts local cans.

. Racks up an impressive record against these local cans.

. Bides time and fights no where else but in the comfy confines of home, were the refs and crowds overwhelming favor and cheer anything you do.

. Clearly avoids any dangerous opponent capable of cleaning your clock this will be done shamelessly

. The goal is always a paper Title, hopefully without having to risk a thing and hopefully againts a can or old and faded Champ

. Win the belt and proceed to rack up paydays and defenses againts the easiest opponents, duck all threats

. Amass a bloated record, the main goal always being to protect the undefeated record.

. Best opponents are those that can bring you the most money with the least threat. Faded Names are always the best and well past it former stars make the best opponents.

. Above all avoid Superstars at the height of their powers or dangerous foes. However other hype jobs or limited but popular opponents are fair game.

this is clearly out of the team Palle and Frankie Warren Handbook.

These kind of trolls should be kicked off the board. They aren't even humourous like a Jack Prescott type. Just totally lacking in knowledge and wit.

Yeah pretty much like the US hype jobs....let me think....

    Jeff Lacy
    Allen Green
    Codrington

    Go further back...

    Michael Grant

People that you idiots class as Euro Hype Jobs are guys like Hatton, Calzaghe and Kessler.
It is hilarious, Hatton beat Tsyzu, Castillo and decent fighters like Tackie and Collazo, he loses to the best fighter in the world and he is a hype job.

Calzaghe has beaten Eubank, Sheika (had just beaten Glen Johnson before anyone starts yapping), Mitchell, Reid, Lacy and now Hopkins and he is a "hype job".

Well we heard about Chad Dawson before he had fought anyone of any note, we have heard about how Allen Green would smash Calzaghe until he came undone, Lacy was the ****ing next coming...

Just because you dont know someones opponents does not make them a hype job. The UK Super Middle scene in the late 90s was stronger than the US one and the Euro scene was far stronger, so the best fights were not in the US.

Likewise the best fights at Welter now ARE in the US. It all depends.

Just because certain fans go overboard does not make a fighter all hype, every fighter from every nation has fans who go over the top.

It is funny to see someone start a thread about hype who has said Pavlik would smash Calzaghe....erm irony?
Who has Pavlik beaten outside of Taylor and Miranda? Nobody. And before he beat either of them people on here were saying he was this unstoppable destroyer, yet Calzaghe is hype for beating a resume of fighters that absolutely SHITS on Pavliks?:patsch

    Whatever lads.

I have every right to print my beliefs on this forum you can intelligently pick what I have said apart or choose to say nothing. To just label someone a troll because their beliefs are radically different from yours or ask for their banishment is not the kind of thing we do here, and since your on our forum where a free exchange of beliefs and ideas are welcome and encouraged. I suggest you go elsewhere.

but dont try to limit my freedom of expression on a forum from my Country. You already have a section provided for you on these forums if you are that sensitive to criticism about your heroes. How free is that? you can choose to stay there, where the Clazaghe ranting and The Danish Pastry hoopla is at a premium.

On this side of the board we have our own beliefs and way of thinking about your bloated and overhyped heroes, deal with it or get off this section. I certainly wouldnt post this thread there. So stay the hell off of here if it offends you, but dont go trying to ban me, I have every right to print what I believe.

Hype is not the exclusive privilege of Europeans, Klingonians do it too.

A lot of Euro fighters would definitly need to step up in comp much sooner in their careers. Fighters that stay undefeated for 35 fights against guys nobody know about deserves this kind of comments. However, some Europeans deserve credit for trying to make the big fights happen like Abraham and Hatton but Calzaghe fighting roy jones is a disgrace.

Calzaghe's resume is terrible, it's only recently did he decide to step up the competition and start fighting guys that are not C class opponents noone even heard of. What stopped Calzaghe from trying to unify between the years of 97 and 06? Was it the fact he was afraid to take the step up in competition and come to America, or was it the usual excuse, it was Enzo's fault?

Calzaghe did fight some bums but who do you consider to be C-Class on his RECORD? He tried to unify between 98 and 06 but Otkke and Byer were to afraid to fight him.
