You know why he didn't unify.

And the reason why he didn't take the 'step up in competition and come to America' is because there was no step up in competition available in America.

Watching 2004 Gold Medalist Andre Ward last night reminded me of 2004 Silver Medalist Amir Khan. Both are ~ 18-0 and both have been brought along slowly.
Seems to me all boxing is the same but just to keep the hate flowing, when is Joe changing his name to Sven?

rafeal, do you know thats how the nazi's started off ? by thinking they were superior to everyone else ?

just some historical info for you .... most of america's great boxers were black, and therefore african in an hereditary sense. the rest of them, the white one's are from europe or elsewhere ancestor wise.

are you trying to tell us that at some time in america's short history, your people somehow developed special powers to make them superior to the one's from their ancestral homes ?

or are you just talking out of you immature, teenage arsehole ?

What about the Tradition of the Yank Xenophobe.

How well would Mikkel Kessler be regarded if he was American?

Its funny because many stateside see what Europeans saw in Nigel Benn. Yet Benn is seen as inferior to Pavlik, despite being twice the fighter he Kelly is?

Paper titles? 4 weight divisions have British fighters as Ring Mag recognised champions. I guess that's what you mean by paper.

We must be doing something right. How many Americans have had claim to being The Man at their weight? Hopkins, before Joe dethroned him; Mayweather, before he retired; Nate Campbell holds 3 big belts which is impressive; Kelly Pavlik at midde.

For all the carefully matched Calzaghes, there are fearless fighters like Haye.

Recently, Europeans Abraham and Calzaghe have won in America.

Yes, fighters are often built differently and belts are protected. But Britain in particular has made strides of recent. There were rough periods in 2004 when Calzaghe & Hatton were at a low and Haye got derailed. But we've got success and can build from it.

Surely it would be more popular than Roy 'Geriatric' Jones v Joe 'The Black Hopkins' Calzaghe on the European Senior Tour??
