Most of thsos tombstones, pre 1950 or so needs some cleaning up.

Gans tombstone looks awful, Johnson's is loseing color(No pun intended) on the words.

Thought I'd post them for a change and vary things up a bit. Interesting to see and know when they died and where they are buried.

Sam Langford had an unmarked grave for years. I'm sure Tyson donated some money to get him a headstone.

    Rocky Marciano 1923-1969

    Forrest Lawn Memorial Gardens Central
    Fort Lauderdale
    Broward County
    Florida
Plot: Section AA, bottom row, 4th to the right.

I can confirm that Rocky isn't under the ground. He's sealed into a wall with other plots next to him.

.................Good, interesting thread. Strange really, that Tunney's gravestone makes zero mention of any boxing career. It looks like any one of thousands of veterans' tombstones. Very tasteful, I think.

Tunney was a marine man though. I think he felt more proud of his war efforts than anything he did in the ring imo.

How can you confirm the Rock is not buried in the ground?? Can you post a pic of the grave outside of the tomb stone??
