Oh and on paper it may seem as though Dirrell can beat Taylor but I highly doubt that would be the case ... Taylor has lost to only 2 guys and the second fight with Pavlik was questionable ... he was 14 seconds away from giving Froch his first and only loss ... he shows his athleticism best when matched up against fighters who are simular to him in ethnicity.

This could well be the case but your saying all of this like Froch will be in range to land all these shots. If Froch just walks in throwing he will get his head launched off. Froch looks similar in height to Hanshaw.

I just watched round 4 of Froch/Reid. I agree he was hit, but in my opinion he didn't look in any trouble. If he can take punishment like he did against Pascal, he will be able to take a punch from Dirrell. The only difference being is that Dirrell will be able to land 4, where Pascal only lands 1. It should be interesting, and let's not forget, Froch is rarely in a boring fight.

These guys heights are wrong too ... I seen Dirrell in person and he's a legit 6'2-6'3 ... and Froch is not 6'0 ... he's much taller than that ... Jermain Taylor is a legit 6'1 - not 5'11 ... Abraham is 5'9 ... and Kessler is closer to 6'2 ... Ward is barely 6'0 ... he's 5'11 at best ... and is physically one of the smaller built fighters in this tournament.

Good point and although alot of people might just pick out the ethnicity part but it is a relevant point.

Not sure how Taylor would handle Dirrell's speed but that would be fun to watch.

I think that fight would definitely go the distance

I felt that the Stevens fight showed that Dirrell controlled that fight and he did not get backed up into the ropes as he was sliding out each and everytime whilst landing the straight lefts which were killing Stevens and that is what happened everytime Stevens attempted to back him up but he could not do it.

For sure For sure, that's exactly what I see happening, Dirrell landing much more punches and alot more often making Froch hesitant to let his hands go due to the speed of Dirrell and how accurate he is. He is good at making his opponent go on the defensive.

Dirrell looked slightly taller than Froch at the press conference face off.
I noticed another thing. Froch looks ripped and he has already been a pound inside the limit earlier this week. Is this excellent peak timing or has he over cooked it?

Taylor is not slow by any means ... he's naturally a counter puncher, and when he puts his mind to it has damn good skills/defense. He will make Dirrell think just like he made all of his other opponents think ... he's a very smart fighter and as good as they come. I've been a fan since day one and i'm not going to shy away because of a couple of losses ... **** one of the greatest fighters of all times has like 17 L's ... **** a loss don't mean much when its all said and done. DLH one of the best fighters of the 90's has 5 L's ... so does Hopkins and Jones ...
