If he thought he could beat Whyte he would've took the fight, can't be the money as it's easily a career high pay day for him. I don't think he beats Whyte either to be honest

I see people mock this all the time but it is never taken literally. So the mocking makes 0 sense.

It's all about a pending Joshua cash out. Wilder will be fighting Nicols and Sconniers again before he fights Whyte, or any prospect with a solid shot - Miller, Kownackii etc...

The worst thing is I think he could and should beat whyte... but there is also a big chance he will loose hence why he doesn't fancy the fight...

Beyonce is in a difficult place, he knows the jackpot payday is close. He can not take a fight before then that carries much risk that he might lose, which one of us would do it differently if we were in his shoes? Think about it and be honest. He would be a fool if he took a gamble now.

Maybe thats not how it SHOULD be, but ultimately this IS a business and a lot of money is riding on these decisions, so really.. can you expect him to take Whyte.. who is a real threat?

Lol crazy thing is I know you're not joking here cause I've been thinking along the same lines,Kownacki presents too much and just isn't the 80/20 fight Wilders looking for,how bad does that sound?
For what it's worth I do actually think Wilder is feared by the division but let's just say that was 100% the case here, why is he's not even been able to face the second or even third tier opponents of which I'd say Miller,Breazeale,Ruiz,Whyte are amongst, why not call out a guy like Kownacki who I'd certainly give a 60/40-70/30 chance of winning, this fruitcake only fights if it's 90/10 in his favour which is why he can't sell out small stadiums cause the public aren't stupid and can see through this fraud.

That's a fair point actually, with that kind of money he'd be set for life and we shouldn't have a problem with that,I reckon those vids though are only making things worse, pretend bouts with Ortiz, fake shout outs against guys tied up,just keep quiet,do you're job and hope AJ doesn't lose in the meantime.

Not sure if you're referring to my post but I've just stated Whyte is second or three tier opposition and here's the crazy thing he comes with a four million prize on his head, should be easy work for Wilder if he takes it.

It wasn't about Whyte or the money.

It was about Hearn wanting options on Wilder's future defenses. Which would allow Hearn to make a much better deal (for himself and AJ) for unification. Wilder's team wasn't willing to sign him over to Hearn ... the 'high payday' was just a lowball downpayment on the bigger fight between Wilder and AJ.

Does seem excessive but in the UK the HW scene is thriving nad he'd have no probs sticking it on SKY PPV or indeed selling out the O2,it's in Hearns interest to get Wilder v AJ in the U.K. With the home judging and all that entails,Wlad v AJ shared 30 mill so I'm sure Hearn knows how much he can offer to dangle a carrot,no other promoter can promise that at the mo but then again they don't have SKY behind em.

You can not like Hearn, he can be annoying and irritating, also he can talk a lot of rubbish but I've not heard him quote figures and not pay them.

If he is saying Wilder was getting 4 million then Wilder was getting 4 million for that fight.

Hearn is thinking long term, he is promoting, if Wilder fought Whyte then it's a PPV event on Sky Box Office, Hearn would provide the card. It would sell over here in the U.K. 4 million is a big purse but it isn't outrageous for a wbc heavyweight world title fight on PPV.

If Wilder won then it sets up a huge PPV event and unification on Sky Box Office between Joshua and Wilder, if Whyte won then an AJ grudge rematch and unification is on Sky Box office and Hearn can't lose because one of his fighters is holding belts.

Hearn isn't just thinking fight by fight, he is thinking a series of fights and what the potential profits would be after that little series.
