First of all he ain't top 10 ATG on anyone's list.

Second,as much as I like Roy it's a mistake to continue fighting,he's nothing but a shadow of his former self,he has no legs and any decent puncher could KO him now.He just has bits of the old Roy Jones.I'd like him to retire he has nothing left to prove.

That being said I'm picking him to beat Lacy.

    This^^
    I won't front that's what makes Jones fight's now a trainwreck!
(Which is a good thing in Boxing, The possibility of watching a K.O.)

I wonder what Jones goal is during this comeback?
Is he targeting anyone, or is this just a last hurrah, Goodbye type of countdown?

Love is as much of an object as an obsession, everybody wants it everybody seeks it, but few ever achieve it, those who do, will cherish it, be lost in it, and among all, will never...never forget it..

im jealous, you n roy have a special thing that comes but once in a lifetime.

He said he is looking for a last big fight.

Probably after that win, lose or draw he will retire.

I wonder if it's Dawson or Hopkins? Adamek?

    SMW's?
Jones name still big enough to prob secure him that last fight should he beat Lacy.
(I also pick Roy to beat lacy)

Yeah but I understand after(or if) he beats Lacy he will fight Danny Green in december in Australia.

I just don't understand where Roy is going with this.

You may be right maybe he "could've continue" BUT you are missing something, the fact that is well documented that Roy was always about SAFETY FIRST. Which is why since he was his own promoter he would ALWAYS instruct the ref that in case he was "hurt" at any point during the fight, the ref's job was to stop the fight on the spot, what a ****ing ***** he was. RJJ was the original cherry picker....

I am a huge Roy Jones fan but the guy should retire - he has nothing left to prove and is a shadow of the 4-weight champ, P4P great and supreme fighter that he was.

Incidentally I think he will beat Lacy but if he intends to fight Danny Green at cruiserweight to become "a 5-weight world champ" he may well get beaten again. Roy doesn't have the footwork to keep his chin out of trouble anymore.

All the same I wish him luck...

The only fight that would be worth continuing his career would be a rematch with Hopkins, but I think we all know that he age has had a much bigger effect on him than it has on Hopkins. Anyways they're both about to retire (supposedly Hopkins already said he is retired) so they should both have one more fight against each other and then retire. Whats the point in Roy taking on middle of the road fighters, it doesn't do anything for his legacy, he needs to try and get a fight with Hopkins (because you know Hopkins would love to avenge his lost from so long ago), and the fight would be a big draw.

Oh yeah, the famous 25 lbs 'PURE' muscle excuse :lol:

Jones fought as a LHW, weighin 175 the day before and around 185 for the fight. He weighed 195 for the Ruiz fight, how is this 25 pounds of pure muscle? You know why he lost after Ruiz? because BALCO was closed!

I would say Jones is the most gifted fighter of the past 25 years and arguably the greatest., but this is very very sad whats happenign now.

Jones ia an egomaniac no doubt he bought into his superman image too much, hence try to drop down to fight Tarver depleting himself.

Then seeing his interview with Green

" Im almost back to my oldself" wtf....very sad, makes you sick that a conman like Calzaghe has a totally shot great on his resume, when he couldnt hold his Jock
