Well Don King has actually been convicted of killing two people (or is it one?). But Panama Lewis is also a scum bag. Both are evil people.

On a positive side though, of all the stories you hear of King and Arum robbing fighters, they did get them more money then they would have had without being promoted by them. Between them they have made alot of millionaires and 'wealthy' fighters.

Yes with Don King it was one person. Also with Lewis (indirectly) Lewis was quilty of taking the padding out of Luis Resto's gloves, inwhich Resto beat Billy Collins so severly that, Collins never fought again. His life was ruined and he was so depressed, after reckless behavior he finally succeeded in killing himself in a car crash.

To make Resto's punches more effective. Collins was so beaten up. he had perm. eye damage. & I belive limited vision in his eye's, may have been leagally blind. Collins father stated afterwards. Collins was severly depressed that his career was over and with his disability. He got into drinking and drugs and had previously gotten into a car wreck. The second time it claimed his life.

Don King. As evil as the subject of this thread, the man was a shrewd businessman who made sure to always be in the corner of the winning fighter, regardless of who he supported before the bell for the first round.

Does Tex Ricard belong on this list too? What about Murad Muhammad and Rock Newman, especially if we're talking promoters?

Rock Newman was a piece of ****. Butch Lewis i wouldn't trust in a million years. To those who know mathematics, promoters are like care salesmen squared.

As for Panama Lewis, in my humble opinion he deserves the chair.

To put it bluntly, Panama Lewis is a waste of blood and organs.

At least Rock Newman was good to Riddick Bowe.

Bowe apologized to Newman years after the fallout and admitted he was wrong about Newman and had gotten false information. Newman didn't steal from Bowe.

Don King, however, has been sued by almost all the big name fighters he's, or at least it seemed that way.

"You're getting a million for the Bruno fight, Tim!!"- King before the fight

"Here's your $90,000"- King after the fight.

There are far worse people on the planet.

King and Arum are unscrupulous cut-throat businessmen. But there are thousands like them, and far far worse. In the grand scheme of things they are small fry. As far as I know Don King hasn't killed anyone since he left the ghetto.

What Panama Lewis did was unsporting, blatant foul play, and very irresponsible. But I dont know how "evil" it is. If Billy Collins was taking such a nasty "life destroying" battering, it's up to the referee to stop the fight. Lewis wasn't the first, and certainly wont be the last, to get involved in glove-tampering.

Panama Lewis and King seem to be a step above Bob Arum. King actually beat a man to death, for ****s sake.
