    Who was the greater fighter and who should be higher on an ATG list Wilfredo Gomez or Joe Calzaghe?

    bias aside who can give a concise and thoughtful contrast and comparison of these two outstanding fighters. I will really enjoy your contribution thank you, Rafael.

    i think gomez takes this but not as clearly as one would think. they both dominated their divisions and beat respectable, but not always ATG fighters. gomez has a clear, brilliant win over an ATG in zarate and his victories over pintor and laporte are also very respectable. calzaghe had a similiar run, dominating a division without benefit of all time great fighters but never clear beat a brilliant fighter in their prime. His wins against jones and hopkins were either unconvincing or marred by how far they had fallen from grace. gomez i think was a better fighter than calzaghe but their respective rankings may not be as far apart as many (myself included) would like to think

    Gomez takes this easily. He had better skills and fought better composition and not only that but has the better win in Zarate who was in his prime. Calzaghe wouldn't dream of facing someone as dangerous as Zarate:hey.
