Edge it to Joe , he was probably a little past his peak when he got Kessler and much as I loved Chico he wasnt exactly the most granite jawed mother ****er walking the earth.

    Joes best win for me.

    Not Floyds though

I think this is a hard question to answer...

Hindsight is 20/20 and I am of the belief that Corrales whilst very good, wasn't as good as those P4P ratings suggested back then....however, I feel it's more subsequent fights with the likes Casamayor that showed this....and of course those fights took place at a later date.

Going into the JC fight, Kessler whilst very highly rated, was not held in the same esteem as Corrales was when he went into the PBF fight. Since then he hasn't really fought another fighter that could exploit in limitations he has or proven how good his skills really are either...unlike Corrales who went on to fight fantastic competition in Casamayor, Castillo etc

Plus the performance of PBF was superior too to Calzaghes, despite the great adaptibility he showed in that fight.

Going through that sort of reasoning, I'd have to say the Corrales win is better actually.

I think Joes victory was better because he was older and he had to adapt more during the fight and make adjustments where Corales was made for Floyd...

I could go into this: the manner in which Kessler was winning, the adjustements Joe made, how they were effective.....but nah. **** off troll. :hi:

Is your brain so crippled by ******ation that you don't know that Beatboxer said Mayweather's win over Corrales was the superior win??

Indeed. He picked out the one part that expressed why I thought Joes performance was very good and attacked that in a post that backed up his view for the most part.:patsch

Kessler is as good as anyone not to be ranked in the p4p top ten,but I like the Corrales win better because it was so dominant.

That's a pretty big exclusion wouldn't you say? a continent with an approximated 750m population and all the hardcore followers of the sport. You could say that about most big sporting events, nobody except those from the country of the two participants or big fans of the sport watched. Outside of hardcore fans and North Americans, I doubt if anybody knew who Mayweather and Corrales were either.

I agree Floyd over Corrales is the better win when you consider how highly rated Corrales was at that time and the dominating manner in which he did it, but this isn't true. Mayweather was the favourite with Chico in the region of 7/5 to 9/5, though a very live underdog. PBF was also higher p4p, that I am sure of.

Neither he nor Kessler were unproven, I am always amazed when I hear some idiot trying to describe a multiple world champ with wins over a number of top ten fighters as unproven. Corrales had wins over Garcia, John Brown, Gainer and Manfredy, Kessler had beaten Siaca, Mundine, Beyer, Lucas and Andrade, how proven do people want?

WTF????? IMHO what Kessler had done prior to the Calzaghe fight at least ======= what Corrales had done prior to Mayweather. Admittedly some of Chico's later wins (Castillo and Casamayor - even though both beat him at least once) give him the edge as a name on Floyd's resume at the moment, coupled with the dominant nature of the performance. However, I think we should wait until the end of Kessler's career before we start comparing who achieved more.

Id say Floyds win is better for 2 reasons 1.he was an underdog a rarity in his career and 2. He put on a masterclass against someone who was expected to walk through him.

Yawn. Of course Corrales was not expected to 'walk through him'. Corrales was a slight favourite with most people - it was not Douglas v Tyson FFS.
