Two of the best wins of this century for two of the best fighters.

MANNY PACQUIAO v MARCO ANTONIO BARRERA I, 2003

    and

ANTONIO TARVER v ROY JONES JR II, 2004

But which do you think was the better win of the two?

Pac's win over Barrera. I say this because Roy was not the same fighter while Barrera still had plenty of fight in the tank. Barrera went on to have a great wins over Morales and Juarez.

pacman barrera 1 in my book... a past-it RJJ won the first fight against tarver and i think prime rjj would have beaten him convincingly compared to MAB who seems to be having trouble with fast southpaws like pac and would have lost to pac 7 out of 10 times

pac has had many great wins but this probably ranks as his best win. barrera was p4p #3 and the lineal champ. pac took this fight with a 4-week notice.

barrera was expected to win, but he had been stopped before by junior jones. despite rjj being past his best days, a loss much less by brutal knockout was not expected, so i pick tarver v jones 2

    Pac's win was clearly better.

And it's a bit of a stretch to label Tarver as one of the best fighters of the century.
