There havent been that many. I'm partial to the triple hitter of 1986. I had the priveledge of watching the debut of the 84 olympians on the Hagler-Hamsho undercard bit would have preferred watching Duran-Batten and Pryor Arguello 1

My favourite was Erik Morales vs. Manny Pacquiao I, which had Jorge Arce vs. Hussein Hussein on the undercard. Both fights were incredible. Dunno what the other was, assuming it was a three fight show.

    Brilliant stuff.

Personally I loved GATTI vs. MAYWEATHER.

    Ivan Calderon doing a clinic.

Chavez JR. vs. massacring another taxi cab.

HUGE upset in Maussa knocking out Harris. I almost cried I was so happy for Maussa.

And last Mayweathers's ring entrance, then Gatti's ring entrance. And perhaps the most one sided beautiful exhibitoned beating that ever took place. I love it.!

Don King done many great cards during the early-mid 90's. Some were 3 or 4 fights on the same night that could well have been served to the public as main events.

Like the Triple Crown Affair and the Holmes - Cooney card. I'm also trying to remember if Gomez - Pintor was on the Hearns - Benitez card.

Cheers mate. Not a bad pair of fights, one chess match and one brutal non stop action affair. There may have even been a decent third match too dammit.

In the running would be the "Carnival Of Champions "card that Mike jacobs put on at the Polo Grounds in 1937 . It featured

    Marcel Thil v Fred Apostoli
    Barney Ross v Ceferino Garcia
    Lou Ambers vPedro Montanez
    Sixto Escobar v Harry Jeffra

    The winners were Apostoli,Ross,Ambers,and Jeffra.
There was a similar "Carnival put on many years previously featuring John L Sullivan ,and Jack McCauliffe among others ,I think this was the night that every ,or nearly every Champion was dehtroned.

JT1, can you expand on the Holmes-Cooney card? I was at an arena and saw the fight/card, but my memory fails me. I'm struggling to remember any of the other fights. Thanks.

The Triple Hitter was a decent card. McGuigan-Cruz, Duran-Simms, Hearns-Medal. The match-ups were pretty average, but three solid names on the same card. I have the program from the fight.
