A one sided drubbing should never be categorized as a great fight in my estimation.

 

i picked muhammad ali/joe louis with ali decisioning louis in 15.

also:

julio cesar chavez KO's manny pacquiao

jack dempsey decisioning rocky marciano

sugar ray robinson decisioning sugar ray leonard

roberto duran by decision over aaron pryor

salvador sanchez winning a tight decision over alexis arguello

 

I think it would be interesting to see Pacquiao and JC Chavez. Not necessarily greatest fight ever, but a good matchup.

I am italian and love italian boxing and i am from mass...few hours from brockton...and I will let u in on secret...Ali would embarass marciano...he is bigger stronger and faster and he fought real fighters in their primes in the best era ever for hw boxing

 

Exactly. Marciano achieved great feats in his own time, but styles make fights, and Ali's feet would see him far out of range for any wild right hands. Walcott out-boxed Marciano for the majority of their fight, Ali would embarrass him in my estimation.

I would also like to see Julio Cesar Chavez vs Roberto Duran at 135lbs. Duran was an animal at Lightweight, and Chavez was about as close to unstoppable as I've seen. He'd take Duran's best shots and come back with 3-4 punch combination's to body and head himself. It might lack drama with both combatants having the potential to go through everything the other throws, but damn, it'd be action packed.
