Yeah. Some people just try to disregard him as some kind of overrated Muppet

Due to the racial politics of the galactic period, maybe he didn't get all of the match-ups he deserved, but he severely underperformed by relaxing against Palpatine when he was ahead on points undeniably. Should have gone for the kill instead of coasting. I think Yoda's draw with Palps trumps his loss, P4P.

We never did get to see Yoda VS Vader, but at least the fans got this rematch, eh?

VERY good mention. I'm not sure where I'd rank him in my top 10 P4P...he was quite the physical specimen and he had quite the resume (Mothra, MechaGodzilla, it goes on and on..) but I think that his ring IQ didn't match up with the cream of the crop of ATG's.

    1. Son Goku (Super Saiyin 3)
    2. Superman
    3. Yoda
    4. Jafar (as a Genie)
    5. Raiden
    6.Tommy the White Ranger
    7. Atreyu (from Neverending Story)
    8. Predator
    9. Mew
    10. Tim Tim

I think Tim Tim was vulnerable enough to get caught early by Godzilla, and he's definitely a stylistic nightmare for Atreyu and Mew, but other than that I think he just falls short of the technical prowess needed to be considered greater than those above. I wouldn't argue with his inclusion, though. He's top 20 at the least. Great shout-out! :good

Anakin interfered. How the hell was Palpatine going to win that fight otherwise? I consider that a win for Wendu.

Do you consider Judah's fight with Mayweather a win then because of Roger? Palpatine executed a well-timed sith lightning attack which he was clearly capable of doing in a split second despite his physically damaged state. Plus, he had a few other Jedi with him before he bested him dualistically.

    what you say is nonesense.

Anakin attacks Wendu from behind and severs his arm. up until that point Palpatine was helpless, palpatine then uses the opening created by Anakin's ambush to blast wendu with lightning.

Watch it again and you will see.

Both of Yoda's big fights in the movies ended in a stalemate.

    :think

Alright, you've convinced me to reevaluate Yoda's resume. How do you compare Windu's H2H and biggest accomplishments against that?

I think that the small ring size in Palpatine's office played right into the hands of Windu's combat fighting style, whereas the large senate building in which yoda and palps went at it allowed Palpatine to use his tremendous height and reach advantage to make as much room as he wanted with his force powers.

If you're going to call Anakin's interference worthy of revaluation, then I think Dooku's escape tactic counts as a forfeit of sorts, don't you think? I certainly wouldn't pass up the chance to eventually kill 3 Jedi at once if I thought I was capable of beating the one in front of me.

Not to mention, Yoda is very well past his prime, a good 400 years at least, he needs a cane to walk. Mace looked like a prime cut to me in there.
