    Floyd Mayweather's Top Five
    • Floyd Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs)
    • Pernell Whitaker (40-4-1, 17 KOs)
    • Roberto Duran (103-16, 70 KOs)
    • Larry Holmes (69-6, 44 KOs)
    • Aaron Pryor (39-1, 35 KOs)
Don't think there's any argument for #1. Floyd has proven it again and again that he is in fact the greatest/best to ever do it.

    Discuss.

Pretty shitty top 5. Not even going to bother with Floyd picking himself as #1, only he, MVC, NoChin, Andrew Schulz and Joe Rogan do.

Only guy with an argument for top 5 is Duran. Great early career win over future elite Champion in Marcel, wins over borderline ATG Lightweights in De Jesus and Buchanan, 12 defences at 135 against some pretty good contenders and Champions (as well as in non title bouts), wins over some very good 147 champs like Palomino and Cuevas, made a good showing against a top 5 MW ATG in Hagler while aging and 4 divisions above his best weight, beat a giganstic Middleweight in Barkley at 37 that he had no right of defeating, and was fighting world class fighters while literally in his late 40's. Oh, and he also arguably has the greatest win in the sport's history against Sugar Ray Leonard.

Whitaker could very well be top 5 when it comes to in-Ring ability, but certainly not when it comes to career. He should have beaten Chavez, which I count as a great win, but the rest of his resume is not top 5 worthy (It's still really good though)

Get Holmes and Pryor out of there entirely. The former has no case for being above Ali or Louis, and you could argue that guys like Lewis, Foreman, Frazier, Wlad, Holyfield and Tyson should rank higher than him at HW. Pryor shouldn't even belong in the top 100.

Floyd doesnt know **** about boxing if thats his top 5.
Even if you go by a post ali era top 5 he is still wrong.

Its the type of list a delusional fanboy would create. Maybe add in srl instead of holmes and you basically got the typical response.

Pryor in the top 5 is laughable. His best wins are a past it, out of his best weight Arguello, who he went life and death with and needed some sort of supplement, and an old Cervantes. He maybe is top 70.

If Floyd is really #1 then I'm the next Pope & I'm not even a catholic ROFLMAO One thing he was really great at was conning the Naïve fans, the casuals & those that DKSAB period. When it came time to stand up & fight , he ran away & retired until the danger had passed. I have never seen more terror & fear in anyones eyes like there was when Antonio Margarito appeared before him & politely asked him " why wont you fight me" Floyd looked terrified stuttering & stammering. Ive never laughed as much at anyone as I did watching those tapes
