To me the most impressive jabs are the ones where the fighter doesn't have the reach advantage most of the time. So jabs like Wlad, Fury, Floyd might be dominant but they're very dependent on reach. Jabs like those of Golovkin and Saunders are probably better in a pure sense since these guys have pretty average proportions compared to their opposition, so it takes more skill to win a jab battle.
Hearns, Holmes, Hagler, Virgil Hill had a good one. His whole career was based on that and then his counter left. All left hand since his right was horrible for a guy who had 25 or so title defenses.
Hearns for me...I sure as **** wouldn't want to be trying to get past that.. nevermind the right backing it up Rest can be in any particular order GGG the power jab he used to use..still a good jab but it used to look alot more spiteful and painful. Kovalev...gorgeous jab...brilliant at upsetting an opponent's rhythm..used it to great effect against ward..which says it all Floyd...controlled range with it..fast as ****..used it to the body with great effect as well de la hoya Larry Holmes Wlad Not best ever but Felix Sturm had a great jab I need to watch some more of Ike quartay...always heard of its quality but never really seen any of his fights Edit - Random left field one....Sergey dzindzuruk had a great jab
Larry Holmes is the first fighter that comes to mind when I think of the jab. I've seen Quartey being mentioned also.... what a ****ing jab he had. Going off grid and not by any means saying he's in the mix with some of the elite names already mentioned, but in recent years George Groves had a superb jab. Speed, power and accuracy thrown from outside of the eye line... in my opinion the best jab in British boxing over the past 10 years.
Klitschko and Vitali, if we don`t count the Klitschko last few years, cause his jab after Steward for some reason disappear.
Holmes Hearns Quartey Liston Louis Wlad GGG Loughran Hagler Archer Arguello Ali Off the top of my head
In no particular order: Srr, Louis, Ali, Holmes, Liston, Foreman, Hearns, Oscar had a good jab, Floyd, Cotto, Walcott, Moore, Charles, Hagler, Harold Johnson and quite a few others I can’t think of at the moment.
