I don't know who it was, but some guy who hit his opponent and made him do a backwards somersault or something with the force of the punch. I think burt bienstock saw it. Also, I guess Dempsey-Fulton for the sheer speed of the KO, in such a big fight. Louis-Uzcudun. Liston-Folley maybe. I imagine some of Marciano's early KOs were spectacular, albeit not against good enough opposition to be considered wholly great. Considering he was raw and unpolished to the max in his earliest fights, and getting by somehow only on sheer power, I daresay it made for some amazingly brutal KOs, guys flying through to air etc.
Wilfred Benitez Knock-Outs over Easy Boy Lake,,,,,,,,,??? Cassius Clay vs. Slim Jim Robinson Billy Ryan vs Mike Weaver
I'd love to see film of the Freddie Steele-Ken Overlin knockout. In over 150 fights, there were only 2 stoppage losses for Overlin- one in his third professional fight against a more experienced fighter in the final seconds, and Freddie absolutely demolishing him in 4.
I would love to see Henry Armstrong's many knockouts. The guy could punch and was like an itch you couldn't get rid of.
great answers so far!! my favourites so far are dempsey fulton and zale graziano for me, i'd love to see burley-turner for a middleweight butchering a heavyweight
i would have loved to see the Ketchel/O'Brien fight in 1909, when the smaller Stanley Ketchel cut and bleeding, connected on the bigger Phil Jack O'Brien with a powerful right hand that deposited O'Briens head in the rosin box, dead to the world . The final bell saved O'Brien from a ko. Loved to have seen the power of the Michigan Assassin...
U,yes I did see Al Davis hit a man heavier than himself Oscar Suggs with a powerful left hook that catapulted Suggs into a backward flip.So powerful was that left-hook. A few fights later Davis an 8-1 underdog kod the great Bob Montgomery with several left hooks at MSG,in the very first round. :good
Tyson knocking Head of the Lowclass Given off 3 walls and out, I would pay good money for this and Duran 1 punching Roger Leonard and laying him out after Leonard-Duran in Montreal:hi::vonnecuntD::cheers:beer:gunatriotDrink beer often!
Fitzsimmons Versus Ed Dunkhorst (I think that was his name anyway?) The Human Freight Train - 11 and a half stone KO's 22 stone or whatever he was !! That would be a good one to see - I have a bad feeling it may have been a body shot knowing Bob tho :-( (which would be a bummer)
Duane Bobick over Mike Weaver Ron Lyle vs Buster Mathis Leotis Martin vs Thad Spencer Jeff Merritt vs Ernie Terrell
Klompton's probably got all of these ...... even Duran knocking the horse out ..... and not some POS youtube version either!
