Charles had the far better resume and generally faced the tougher opposition throughout his LHW career, while Tunney missed out on a lot of the top black fighters of his era. Charles ranks as the #1 LHW of all time for me.

Charles is a clear cut #1 at Lightheavy, Tunney is not 2nd IMO.

Charles his resume at the weight is unparallel. I have Moore and Langford higher then Tunney at 175lbs.

  7. H2H would have been a Яeverse Schooling IMO.

Ezzard Charles. Enough said. Though never earning the Light Heavy belt, his resume is far better than Tunney.

Charles' five best wins at the weight: Archie Moore, Bivins, Burley, Maxim, Lloyd Marshall.

Tunney's five best at the weight: Lee Houck, Battling Levinsky, Harry Greb, Carpentier, Jeff Smith.

Do you see the difference? Charles has the far better resume hands down.

Oh sorry, I didn't see that. But my point was made. Thanks for pointing that out though. I guess you can substitute that with Baroudi who was a solid fighter. Shame what happend to him, it was said Ezzard was never the same after that.
