Gotta go with Hearns and McCallum. Tito didn't have the tenure, but I think that would've been his best division had he stayed.

He mos def deserves an Honorable Mention. He might've been on his way had he not run into Tito. Man, young Vargas was quite the beast!! :thumbsup

Definatley agree. I still ask myself why in the hell did they put him in with tito at such a young age, I think he might of actually beat tito if they would have waited a few fights

The consensus seems to be that Hearns and McCallum are the top two. And I'd wholeheartedly agree.

See alot of people have McCallum at #1. Which I wouldn't argue. McCallum was hungry to take on Tommy or Hagler and tho I dont think he would of beaten either one, he was considered a threat to both. Very durable, very dedicated to bodypunching. Tommy clear fav, but to hardcore aficionados McCallum was eye to eye with Tommy. What McCallum did at 154 and 160 was very impressive. Graham, Watson, Jackson, and drawing with a prime Toney despite tpMcCallum already on the slide thats hard to replicate. And plus theres Collins, Mcrory, and Curry whom he also defeated.

To a lesser extant, the same could be said of David Reid.

Its between Norris and McCallum. Personally I'll go with Norris.

True. It's a shame how short his career was. He was outoxing Tito when they fought too. Speaking of Reid vs. Trinidad, popular belief is Tito ruined that eye. Not true, was bad before, hence the fast track money fight with Tito. Heard he was training a few years ago. Know if that's true?

I had heard the same thing, but don't know of any way to verify whether that was true or no.

Vasquez in his prime had a good little run, beat some good fighters before sweet pea took his title, but def not one of the greatest lightmiddleweights,he did defeat one of the greats tho.
