See Ali-Liston first fight, round 1. One of the most artistic displays of hitting without getting hit ever.

Floyd's the best at it, his problem is his level of competition. More-so name value than what shape or form they're in.

Hmm you just turned a bunch of ATGs with great chins into shitty fighters lol..

But I do agree those who get hit less will ultimately win in their own life perspective over those who got hit a lot due to less brain deterioration.

However imho how a fighter turns out post career has little correlation with the greatness he achieved in the ring.

Did he really just say dominating a fight AND being hard to hit DOES NOT make you a better boxer?

That's a very good skill to have. After all, boxing is about hitting and not being hit. But to be great you need much more than that. To be great you have to be able to do that against another great. The wars the ts is talking about happen when 2 great fighters are great at what they do and their styles have alot to do with it. Floyd has these skills, and he's a great fighter, but he has not proved to be a great WW yet. When he beats a Manny, Martinez, or a Williams then we can see how good he can dominate against someone closer to his age and prime. If he can do to any of those 3 just how he dominated older fighters like Mosley and Marquez I will be in awe.

. . . is beating someone no one thinks you can beat.

    See Ali v. Liston, Leonard v. Hearns, Douglas v. Tyson . . . .

    It cannot be.

The perception of who you beat is changed by how you beat them.

Its true... BUT.. if you dominate without getting hit but fighting a low-level oppositions and ducking fighters in their prime and fighting old shot ring-worn fighters the likes of gatti baldomir dela hoya shramba mitchell old shane mosley a blown-up lightweight JMM henrey brusseles and chop chop curley then ur not really that great as you think you are.....

It's hard to hit an opponent who is on vacation. Floyd's defense really is something else.
