And what? RJJ moved better than most flyweights. Calzaghe moves better than most lightweights. Ali moved well for his time, he'd be a Chris Byrd level fighter today. (here comes the cricism)
Dude, would you stop with your ****? Yeah, because today's game is so packed with muscle-bound studs like Chagaev, Valuev, Ibragimov, Peter, etc.atsch
This is a tremendous shout. Duran is certainly amongst the greatest of all in this department, and should be in the poll. The angles he makes of his opponents punches are beautiful, and a lot of this is footwork and balance.
Two oldtime fighters should be mentioned - Jimmy Slattery & Tommy Loughran - two master boxers with great footwork!!! Grebfan9 www.firstroundboxing.com
Roy is one of the best at fighting while moving backwards ive ever seen, what do you mean he cant handle pressure?
Its not like Tarver and Johnson were the first ones to try that, many opponents tried that on Roy in his prime but could only do it for a few rounds because they were getting punished when they tried it and then started hesitaing and standing in the center of the ring. Johnson was able to do it because he was not getting punished like a prime Roy would have been doing to him.
RJJ on his prime was incomparable. Ali has a great footwork for a big man bit is a little bit overrated. Ray Leonard is exceptional. Sweet Pea relies more on his upper body movement than his feet.
