Hagler was the greatest switch hitter of all-time but which other fighters were great at this tactic? This content is protected
Hagler is the first guy that comes to mind but when all is said and done Bud Crawford will be held in very high regard. One off the radar guy for much different reasons than Haglar is James Toney. He never stayed south paw for long but watch his KO's of Nunn and Jason Robinson. Both of those KO's were from a southpaw stance that he subtly switched too mid combination.
Andre Ward Naseem Hamed Junior Witter Herol Graham Crawford is the most adept switch hitter in the game today. I've also noticed that he seems to use the tactic more than anyone else I can think of, and it always yields great results. That's a big part of why he's my favorite active fighter.
Vuyani Bungu Steve Robinson Kevin Kelley Andrew Bloomer He primarily fought southpaw, but from my recollection he switched back and forth in a lot of his fights, although it usually seemed haphazard, and not a concious decision the way guys like Ward or Hagler did.
