its got to be the rules being codifield, boxing set the blue print, alotta props and kudos to those early pioneers.

how they came up with 3 mins in round and break inbetween and the fact something so intricate like that they got absolutely right from the get go in those dinosour times and it hasn't needed amending is very impressive indeed.

When boxing was televised mainstrean, not to be missed. Christ, even an amateur bout featuring Billy Walker and Cornelius Perry could 'make' a fighter!

That fight made Walker for life. He invested the earnings from his career and made a quite of fair bit of money IIRC.

It's not actually Pacquiao I have issues with.... it's that annoying, shamelessly self-promoting WANKER of a trainer he has.

Yes - I (and probably every other boxing watcher) acknowledge how well he has done as a trainer, especially given his illness etc, but please, stop with the celebrity bull****, Dr Roach and so on.

Average domestic level fighters seem to be flocking there, in hope of salvation.... this **** is getting out of hand.

He has done brilliant work with Pacquiao, turning him from a one-handed gunslinger into what he is today, but please.....

It isn't as if he hasn't been handed excellent 'raw materials' to work with, the likes of Virgil Hill, James Toney, Marlon Starling and so on.

I agree BB, this "Cult of Roach" thing has got way out of hand.

If I see another "Roach says...." post on the GF being used to support a half-arsed opinion......

I think he is tapping into the Filipino market, the likes of asero really love him. Aww...... :dead

    Other things.....

Catchweight fights - 145 instead of 147 :nut

Annoying predictions/statements - ''we are going to expose Miguel Cotto''

    I could go on
