The greatest trick Floyd ever pulled was convincing us he can lose to Pacquiao

Yeah the mainstream audience will give him more credit for a win over Pac, but the legit linear welterweight champ is Mosely so boxing fans will say that he needs to fight mosely to be the man at 147.
If all this retiring and coming out of retirement, these catchweight fights and all the interviews talking about p4p greatness has been part of a plan to make Pacquiao legit opponent for Mayweather in the publics eyes, then I must say that Floyd can pull more string than I thought, and as I said I don't believe that's the case

Want to add one thing about Cotto. What about all the comments about him being shot after the Margo fight? What about his unflattering performance against Clottey? Was he really not that great to begin with? OR was he not the same after the Margarito loss? So you see it may mean something or a very little something, but even if Cotto wasnt shot then it would still be far from everything.

    Like Bone says below.

Then what makes you legit? If beating a legit in a certain weight class doesnt place among the legit then what does?

Agree with you on alot of your points dude (apart from Floyd's masterplan of meeting Pac down the road). I'd also change the title slightly and mirror it with recent statements by the brilliant Brother Nazim:

"The greatest trick Manny Pacquiao ever pulled, was convincing the world he is a Welterweight"

That's right, convincing us he is fully fledged Welterweight that can compromise Floyd. Immediately after the Cotto destruction, countless number of posters here confidently predicted he would be the first to inflict defeat on Mayweather. Unfortunately these people seemed to forget the obvious strengths and advantages that Floyd holds, and how these attributes have made him what he is.

I agree with the thread starter, in that NOONE should be surprised if Floyd puts a beating on this the pyhsical disadvantaged Pacquiao. Someone a while ago began a good thread which highlighted who had which advantage in the ring. The responses were overwhelmingly in favour with FLoyd. My ratings were this:

I think Floyd beats Pac but Floyd didn't " trick us into believing Pac could beat him". People have just come to their own conclusions based on Pacs recent performances. Nothing Floyds done.
P.S. I agree there are bigger challenges than Pac out there 4 Mayweather.

That's another thing, Mosley is not the legit linear champ. There is no linear champ at Welter. The last linear champ was Mayweather.

  11. Floyd doesn't fight to please the fans. He fights for cash. This is obvious.

he is just that smart . . .hahhaha. Big bone, like other haters, is just hedging his bet. If floyd beats Pac he point back at this thread and say see I told you he was only picking on a little guy. Man stop all the hating! If he fights SSM they would say he fought an old man. If he fought Cotto they would say he was washed up. If he fought margocheater they would say he ain't no good without his plaster. If he fought all of the super six and the kbros in one day they would say he is only a showbout and he should have fought bute and the heavyweights suck anyway.
